The Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering offers the 4-years B.Tech Programme
in Instrumentation and Control Engineering. The JSS Academy of Technical Education has been
offering this course since 1998. The course is affiliated to U.P. Technical University, Lucknow.
The Department has good mix of young qualified and experienced faculty. Faculty to Students
ratio in the department is 1:10, better than AICTE norms. The Department is strong in following fields:
- Control Engineering
- Electronic Measurements
- Instrumentation Including transducers
- Micro-controllers & Microprocessors
- Digital Systems Including Design using HDLs
- Bio-Medical Electronics & Instrumentation
The faculty in the Department has contributed several research papers in the areas of Control Engineering,
Digital Signal Processing, and Microprocessor Based Instrumentation.
Department
offers several elective courses depending upon the choice of students. The students are
encouraged to work on projects on emerging application and developments.

A Society, SPICE, is functioning under the aegis of the Department. It organizes extra-curricular
technical activities to cater to Instrumentation and Control Engineers and expose
them to the state of art in the field.
The faculty takes keen interest to provide necessary
counseling and guidance to the students to shape their career aspiration through competitive like
GATE, CAT, GRE, etc.
Developments
Department has arrangement with a French Company based in Noida for the project works in the
area of Instrument and Control of automobiles.
