India is on the verge of becoming a developed country sooner than our self-chosen target
date of 2020. Growth rate of GDP is 8% plus.Our GDP growth has been twice the global
rate in the past 20 years. At current rate, we are set
to override Japan to become the third largest economy
which is presently at fourth place. It is a well known
fact that India has emerged as the biggest back office
in the world.
It is the young generation of India
which stands to gain a lot from this growth
story.
Our Academy has done
exceedingly well with respect to placements 369
students of 2008 batch have been placed so far
and we are still counting. More than 123
students have got two plum appointments from the
big banner Industries.
Technology firms are busy revising their hiring
outlook for the year and the graph is heading
downwards. According to analysts, the country’s
net technical hiring for the fiscal will be down
by a lakh as against the outlook of over 4 lakhs
earlier this year.
In 2006-07, about 5 lakh
IT/ITES professionals were hired as against 4
lakh in the previous year. So this year’s
expected figure could be the lowest in 3 years.
The optimist in me says
there is always room at the
top. Our students have already proved their
credibility in the market and downsizing the
national placements in the IT sector shall not
deter the companies to come to elite colleges
like ours and our placements will be unaffected
for the 2009 batch as well. Relentless efforts
are on to rope in more and more companies for
placements.
Training and Placement Centre in JSSATE, NOIDA is very vibrant and is instrumental in providing jobs
to our students and arranging their summer training. Ever its insception, the Centre is putting on relentless
efforts to invite as many companies as possible to the campus for selection of our pre-final and final year students.

Establishing linkages between the industry, the students and the faculty.
Organizing training programs in association with the Corporates.
Conduct familiarization tours for Corporate to the Institute so that they can choose how to work together for mutual benefit.
Conduct awareness programs for the students in the form of Workshops, Seminars and Conferences in association with Institutions and Corporates.
Arrange special lectures by Executives from Corporates and Institutions.
Conduct value added programs like the Personality Development and Communication Skills Workshops.
Arrange for Aptitude Test for the students and organize Group Discussions and mock Interviews.
Organize Entrepreneurship Development programs.

Students committee for Training and Placement
|
The Center assists Organizations to recruit students for the summer training
and the final placement. The Center has an active placement Committee
with representation from the students and the faculty, who work together
as a team to make the process seamless for the interested companies.
In the recent past, the Center has been actively looking at new ways
and means of ensuring that the JSS-ATE, Noida students are able to
tap into the best opportunities, and potential employers are able
to identify the talent most suited to their requirements.

Affilliations with Foreign Universities
|
Students of JSS-ATE, Noida have the unique opportunity to benefit from the
ongoing associations that JSS Mahavidyapeetha enjoys with several
top-notch global universities in UK, USA, Germany and Australia. Willing
students can pursue further studies abroad at these universities,
and harness the global employment opportunities. The College have
active affiliations with Wilkes University, USA and some students
of the JSS ATE Noida have already joined the Wilkes University in
the final year program.

Foreign Languages
|
Globalization is the way to the future, particularly for the students of engineering
and information technology, who are seeking international employment
opportunities. To prepare our students for the global environment,
JSS-ATE, Noida has started imparting its students with foreign languages.
As a first step, the institute conducted the Certified Course in French
in collaboration with Alliance Francais de Delhi.

27 years in Indian Air Force, held appointmnets of Chief Engineer at Operational Bases, Commanding Officer of Technical Unit and Member of All India Aircraft Accident Investigation Board.
